Is the email server down? I can't get incoming email on pop3.idnet.com or imap.idnet.com.

Bill

I received one a couple of minutes ago via pop3.idnet.com, I don't use IMAP so can't help on that.

Same as Bill.  Just sent myself one, and it came straight through.

Thx guys.
Not sure what the problem is my end.
Can't ping pop3.idnet.com or imap.idnet.com.
Seem to get stuck after redbus-gw1-gi5-0-301.idnet.net
Can ping smtp.idnet.com and idnet.com on different route.

Simon

Usually there are plenty of reports coming in if the mail server is down.  I've just done another test, and mine is working on POP and IMAP.  :dunno:

Thanks for help everyone. I was bringing up a new email client when the problem began. I had a used a wrong password, possible several, and made many attempts to access pop3. Perhaps this has blocked my IP.

Turns out, the firewall on the server blocked my IP address. The problem was indeed self-inflicted. Brian fixed in a trice. It is good to know our email is suitably protected. Brian's response reminds me why I like IDNET.

Thanks Brian and thanks fellow posters who helped with server checks..

Glad it's sorted, Dave.  :)
