7.0.1 was for the iPhone 5s and the 5c only.

Isn't it a bit silly though, that there's no notification of iOS updates via the device?  If it wasn't for you posting, Gary, I wouldn't have known.

There will be, its just a case of it takes awhile to get out to all the phones due to the sheer numbers of iphones. You would probably have got the notification later tonight or tomorrow.

I don't think I've ever seen one before.  :dunno:

I think thats because we generally update so fast because of forum info, Simon.

Lance

I had the notification this morning for this.

Is it just me or at location beads reminders not working?  I've two or three now, and the little location arrow doesn't appear, and the reminder fails.  Reminders are definitely 'on' in location settings.

I think there is a bug with the gps in iOS 7, I normally use the Strava app for cycling and it keeps dropping the GPS, never had that issue with iOS 6

Simon

I think I've found the issue.  I'd turned off Background App Refresh to try to save the battery.  Turning that back on for the Reminders app seems to have started it working.  ::)

I suspect they stagger OTA distribution by blocks of serial numbers otherwise the mobile networks will be screaming that they've been swamped.

Well, I hope it also fixes the music player issues, and makes Safari stop crashing on the 4S.

Can't say I've ever used Facetime.

And why does a 17Mb update require 808Mb of storage?   :rant2:

Steve

No idea why really , it may build the new and complete iOS file image  in memory before overwriting the previous version. It probably means that if it fails it can revert back rather then adding the 17mb and then failing and leaving a corrupt OS.

FaceTime , my wife uses it to check the student is looking after himself.

I used facetime to chat with friends that have moved abroad who have iphones, quality leaves skype in the dust.
