Newsgroup messages being marked as spam

I am getting on quite well with Windows 8, but this morning nearly all my newsgroups messages are marked as spam. Why? Macfee anti spam, or is there spam filter built into Windows 8? I have altered nowt!
Nothing is perfect, not even my ignorance!
