I'm not getting reply and new topic notifications again, as in this thread:

Failing to receive email notification when my posts are repliedto

I've tried clearing and resetting all notifications, logging out etc so I'm happy to wait and see, but perhaps someone could check that the forum isn't having a fit of the sulks about sending emails again, as in the topic above?

In the meantime, I found an oddity... I went to the notifications page in my profile to clear everything, checked the box to select everything, unselected them and saved the settings. Got the "Successfully saved" message, logged out, logged back in, when I checked the post notifications they were all still there, all 35 pages of them :dunno: (though the "New Topic" ones had cleared).

I sorted it by un-notifying a singleton and saving, then I had to go through un-notifying a pageful at a time- that was tedious but it worked. It's as if a list was full, and it couldn't clear the list until it was emptied a bit, and even then would only clear a page at a time not the whole lot in one go.

Not sure if anything can be done about it, but thought I'd mention it.

Have it admit, I haven't had any notifications for a day or so, so will check that out, Bill

Re the tick boxes, I think the 'Select All' option only works one page at a time.

If that's the way it's supposed to work then fair enough, but this morning it wouldn't even do that until I'd first removed a single entry. May have just been a glitch, not too bothered.

I meant to say in the OP that the last notification I received was at 21:31 last Wednesday (6th).

And I haven't (yet, anyway) had a notification of your reply, though the topic has been added to the "Current" list.

It does appear that notifications have stopped being sent. The solution is likely to be within IDNet's realm so we'll report it to them.

Simon is almost certainly correct in that batch selection is by page but it doesn't sound like it's working correctly either. That's something I can test so I'll take a look at it.

The last one I received was 02:09 on the 7th.

Sorry, can't test the post notifications for you as I don't use them, but I know, when I've had to remove several pages of stuff in the past, it's been one page at a time.

Thanks Zap.

It's only a minor matter afaic, don't waste too much time on it.

It's easy enough to test but I need email notifications to do it. Hopefully that will get fixed soon as it's now been reported :)

Some changes have been made on the server.  Can anyone confirm whether these are working?

No, thanks all the same- all sorted now.

Safari went very peculiar after I uninstalled AdBlocker. I couldn't sort it, 90 minutes on the phone to Apple Support fixed it in the end. Thank goodness for AppleCare.

Took me through lots of tests, couldn't find out what was wrong (except that it was something in my user account), ended up deleting every cache and plist file that might have the remotest connection with Safari, one of them must have been the guilty party but God alone knows which one

We do seem to hear quite regularly of problems associated with AdBlocker.   :-\

Might have been something to do with the 6.1 update Apple did some extra tweaking like they did with Safari 7 which means they could have broken some extensions. They broke pretty much everything else since October  ;)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

You could be right- I re-installed it and it seems OK, but there's an option in it now to speed it up by using "an experimental feature in Safari."

I've left that very firmly unchecked ;)
