Only shows up in iTunes, Steve.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

On a side note just had my first black screen of death on the 5s  :rant2: at some point I may restore the whole phone, or wait for 7.1.1  ;) up to 1.49GB now of 'other'

I thought the crashes were one of the main things 7.1 was supposed to fix!  That app I mentioned above did clear a lot of crud from the phone, such as app caches and such like.  Also, sometimes when you disconnect and reconnect to iTunes, the capacities change a bit.  I didn't do that last night, but theoretically, quite a bit should have been cleared from Other.

Would downloading and installing updates via iTunes, rather then OTA make any difference, or would the installation files still be stored on the device?
Simon.

I really don't know, I'm still trying to work out how I managed to gain enough space to store two more CD's worth of music on my phone. Perhaps a previous upgrade left some spurious data lying around :dunno: The home button certainly reacts faster now, I was starting to think mine was on its way out but it was clearly down to lag.

Thanks Gary! That's why I can't find it, my iPad keeps away from iTunes although I'm going to have to pay a visit to restore WiFi sync.
