Over the next week I have 3 'putters to u/g from xp to win 7. (Not mine btw).
I am aware of the 'update' that nags you to confirm your search engine but I'm damned if I can find the number.
Anyone have a note of the KB number please?

Dos that just not do it the first time you launch Windows 7? Can't You can pre-empt it by choosing which ever one you want anyway.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I remember it becoming a nuisance repeat on XP even after choice selection.  I can also remember that having made a selection it just sat there doing nowt!!!
Have a feeling that it was incorporated in win7 sp1 and, if so then the 3 OEM discs I've purchased will also have this PITA in the build.
Not exactly a major worry but a little annoying.

I don't recall this issue when I upgraded my XP to Win7 last year.

Same here. "Please choose a browser as we've been forced by EU directives to let you choose... oh but we won't write the choice selection in working code". :P
I could choose before hand, the choice box is a nuisance. :P
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
