FTTC Profile change?

A BT Openreach engineer came this morning due to a fault on the line. He fiddled about a bit on the line, called in a man with a cherry picker and eventually announced the fault was clear and some AC value was up from 52 to 65. He did a line test and said the line would support 27Mbps. Previously I had been getting 13Mbps. He said I would need to speak to the ISP to get a new profile to benefit from the improved line.
So I called Idnet and they said there was nothing to do, the profile would change automatically. It hasn't yet. It's been about 3 hours since the BT man left.
Just wanted a 2nd (3rd) opinion from someone. The Idnet person I spoke to seemed to contradict the BT Openreach man.

BT would reset the profile there and then or they should, IDNet cant as only BTOR can reset FTTC profiles back to the 10 day learning period (its about three in all honesty) DLM on FTTC takes time to give speed back its not as fast as ADSL or ADSL2+ BTOR can only reset the line when its at fault, he should have made a call and gotten a text back saying it had been done.

I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

I don't think BT have reset the profile. Download speed has shown exactly the same every time I have tested it since he left at lunchtime today. Oddly enough, upload speed is up from 1Mbps to 4Mpbs.
Is there anything I can do to get the profile reset now?

You could dry rebooting the FTTC Modem in the middle of the day, but give it a week or so and if there are no errors on the line DLM will increase speed, its not a fast thing but it does happen.
