Windows 8.1.1(?) released yesterday.  Took an hour to update my laptop!  :swoon:

It's a strange update cycle for Windows 8. It's not helpful to have a "forced restart" when your trying to work due to an update, but the replacement in Win8 is "will update in 4 days time". Can't they just ask us to reboot like before?
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Only the professional version of Windows 7 gave you that option. The home version would ask but if you failed to reply because you were not the PC or were in full screen mode it rebooted anyway. I can't for the life of me understand why they insist on doing this.

Yeah, had it happen during an important presentation one day. The laptop just did "shutdown, updating". Although it's not impossible something did not trigger it erroneously.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
