No internet since power cut

I'll have a proper play later, but initially, the wifi signal from the 7800DXL doesn't seem as strong as the 7800N, as I've had to move the BT extender closer to the router to get an optimum signal. 

It's hardly a statistically valid sample, but I've seen several comments over on tbb that the wireless performance of the DXL is nothing to rave about compared to the N.

I can't get any of my devices to 'see' the 5Ghz network either, even though it seems to be enabled.

This directional thing - haven't I read something about that somewhere before?  Isn't it supposed to pick up the location of wireless devices so as to optimise the wifi signal?
