Oh the joy of modern technology (I've seen TVs do this now! Gah!!!).  :bawl: :eek4:
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

I updated the firmware on HID's Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and it screwed the phone completely. It freezes, locks up, crashes. A total disaster.
And there doesn't seem to be any way you can roll back the update. Grrr

AFAIK a factory reset will not downgrade an update. It will however clear out settings (so make sure you backup all important data first).
Which might fix some issues that are caused by mix ups on old and new settings files etc.

Steve

As the above says a factory reset may solve the issue, it looks like you can downgrade the firmware but you need to do your homework first

Always do a complete shut down and reboot after the app optimisation finishes Baz (had a firmware upgrade to my phone on Tuesday)

If still sluggish make sure your contacts are saved to your SIM and do a reset to make sure all the remains of 4.2.2 are gone (as who wants to mix Jelly Beans with KitKats anyway).

Baz

Ok thanks   :thumb: will keep an eye on it. Im trying a different 3rd party sms app now too so i'll see how it goes

Daft question time now....a reset will lose any extra apps that have been added since new is that right.

Steve

A factory reset will clear the phone completely,if you use google for backup purposes it will then restore your phone settings and apps. I'm sure there are other ways too but bear in mind sms messages need to be backed up to a computer separately if using google, there are easy ways of doing this.
