Just tried to find out how much of my allowance I've used this month since we've watched a lot of iPlayer during the past week.  But the website is down!  Anyone know when it will be back up again?  :)

Steve

No idea Clive, I'd be surprised if normal office service resumes before the 5th January but nevertheless there should be emergency cover

I'll just have to hope the automatic warning will still be e-mailed to me if I'm approaching my 50 Gb limit.

It's amazes me how these problems always seem to occur during holiday periods.   ::)

It's the innate perversity of inanimate objects... aka Sod's Law

Another forum I use in the US- a server went down on the Saturday before they all took a week off for Thanksgiving, and then another went down on Christmas Eve :bawl:

I'm still getting:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Odd, most of it (except Status) is working fine for me.

Have you tried going direct to the Customer Login page?

https://www.idnet.net/cp/login.php

Worth a try.

The site works for me and I can log in to my portal.  Can't get the network status page though.

Try it now people. I can view my usage once again via the RSS feed. Not had any trouble with the status feed. I managed to look at my dashboard yesterday without any trouble too. Perhaps an IDNet elf has been at work?

Thanks very much Bill.  I can get in that way.   :thumb:

It should all be working now anyway, from the Status page:

QuoteEarly Boxing Day morning we suffered a failure on the IDNet webserver. An engineer recovered to the backup server so that the site and customer portal were operational by midday.

Network Status Page and RSS Feeds are now working correctly. If you are having problem with RSS feeds please ensure you are using the current address which can be obtained from the details page in the broadband section of the customer portal.

The link I was using is still down https://www.idnet.net/secure/portal/ but I'm quite happy switching to the one you provided Bill.  I needn't have worried about my usage since I have oodles left which is quite surprising because we've really hammered iPlayer recently!

Bill

I don't know where your url came from- I just use www.idnet.net for the home page, click Customer Login and it all works.

If I click your link I get the same "Service Temporarily Unavailable" message :dunno:

Rik gave it to me when he persuaded me to subscribe to IDNet some years ago and it's always worked well until now.   8-)

Bill

Ah, right... well, two possible courses of action come to mind- a) hope that IDNet resurrect that url or b) update your bookmarks.

I would recommend the latter :P

Decisions decisions.

I am having the same issue though can log into the normal portal. Still confused by the differences between the two?

Also, I'm supposed to be able to get my bandwidth usage via https://www.idnet.net/cp/login.php right?

This has never given me the option. The link is missing from the Broadband section on the page and so I had to use the original portal to get my bandwidth info.

Probably just a case of getting IDNet to fix though I assume?

Ray

Are you not seeing the link 'View details' on your BB section? I'm not having any problem with it, this is what I'm seeing: -

There have been some instances where IDNet need to tweak some users' control panels in order to view all their details.  An email to IDNet should suffice, but I believe the office is closed now until Monday .

Hi All,

I took a look at James portal. It should now show your bandwidth correctly.
