BBC News app update

Anyone got it? What do you think? I've managed to set it up to receive the same content as before, but it seems to involve quite a bit more 'clicking', or whatever the touchscreen equivalent is.

I currently often find the HTML(5?) websites perform much better than the apps for most providers. Even those who put a LOT of work into both. Sadly, it does mean dependence on a 3g/wifi signal.

Pity we cannot just have the HTML app as a local app/download/cache.

I've been having to refresh the app manually a lot when I start it. With the old app it would refresh everything when you started it, the new version seems hit and miss.

I'm getting used to it, but find it more 'fiddly' than the old one, and I think it might be better if the videos were just in a separate section, and not in the middle of the other main pages.
