Hi, i've just recieved my email from idnet telling me that my migration is complete, along with the settings i need to connect.

So i reset my Linksys WAG354G settings, then input my new idnet settings.

------------------------------------------------
IP Address:     xx.xxx.x.xx

It is recommended that you configure your router to pick up its IP address automatically from the network unless you have been assigned multiple IP addresses.

Username:    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Password:    xxxxxxxx
DNS Servers:

212.69.36.3
212.69.40.3

VPI:    0
VCI:    38
Authentication Method:    CHAP

Connection Type:    PPPoA or PPPoATM

Encapsulation:    VCMUX

I've tried inputting this all, and it doesn't work. Any help on this?

Hi Slyder.

I'm using a Linksys AG241V2 with no trouble. I'm using the details below if it's of any help:

Encapsulation RFC 2364 PPPoA
Multiplexing VC
Virtual Circut 0 VPI, 38 VCI
DSL Modulation Multimode
User Name xxxxxxxx
Password xxxxxxxx
keep Alive 60 Sec
MTU Manual, size 1458
Local IP 192.168.1.1
subnet mask 255.255.255.0

And that's all for the settings. I obviously pickup my static ip address, the dns servers and gateway automatically.

Hope this helps,

Rob.

Welcome to the forum, Slyder

Recently, some people have been having issues with migrations due to BT. Sometimes the main part of the migration is completed at which point BT inform IDNet the migration is complete, however, it transpires that BT still have to do some work just to finish of the migration. Prehaps that is the problem here, you are not fully migrated over.

I guess you can still use you old ISP's username/password?

Ah thank you for the replies, nice to be on the forum.

Your information has re-assured me a lot Lance, i think i'll give it a few days and see if my migration is finished then. BT does seem to be having problems, i was 1 day over-due my migration date, and now this.
And also, i can use my old ISP username/password. I'll use this for now.

Its nice to have you on the forum!

If you still can't connect using your IDNet settings by monday, i would suggest a quick call to customer services and they will be able to give further advice and chase BT if necessary.
