DSN Query

Recently given up on Thunderbird and changed to a new program (eM Client). When I send an email I am now getting a Delivery Status Notification.......Relayed message. Having searched for what it actually means I am little wiser. I can see what delayed or failed would tell me but exactly what relayed tells me is unclear. Does it mean that it has arrived at the email destination or that it is part way?. There are two .bin files attached but as yet I have been unable to see the contents. One hit suggests DSN is a total waste of time! Any enlightenment will be appreciated
