Not quite sure what is going on at fast.co.uk but the most likely guess looks to be unpaid BT bills.

I've noticed that IDNet have been able to get people let down by Fast this morning migrated and online within hours. No idea how, but top job by IDNet - keep up the good work.

That smells to me of BT OpenReach allowing quick switches of what must presumably now be an ex-customer's circuits.

Someone linked me their broadband service status page earlier today which described a major broadband outage thusly...

'Investigating - If you're currently experiencing an outage with your broadband service please be advised that you will need to find an alternative broadband provider as we are unable to continue to supply your current service.'

Yeah, saw no notice on their webpage, and if TinyComputers etc is taught us anything, some companies allow money to come in right up until the landlord removes the cash registers. :P (But I'd hope fast/co/uk is not ding this, but I'm not trying their payment screen to find out!  )

I missed the new report, as it mention the supplier, "186k",  not fast.co.uk in the title: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/12/13/major_186k_outage/
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
