Are there any plans to use HTTPS? The site doesn't use HTTPS at all and especially for logins? Firefox reports the site as 'connection not secure' on all pages, most of the sites I visit use HTTPS as a matter of course there days.  :)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

As does Chrome, Gary, I even use https on my personal websites now.

Yes I noticed this some time ago.

It's not something we have any control over but I believe the server this forum runs on is due to be upgraded soon. Once that's done I will look to see what options are available to us which might well depend on whether the forum software we use is compatible. It certainly wasn't up until recently but I don't know if that's still the case. I do know that the next major version, 2.1 is compatible but at the current pace of development I suspect mankind will have left this planet and populated the outer rim of our galaxy before that sees the light of day.

;D Thanks for the info, Zap. I just don't like logging into places where there is no HTTPS. So having this implemented at the login page would offer protection as some people may use the same password for many sites.

'Some'? ;D But I agree, it's likely this will be the year when https becomes more or less mandatory. Once the server upgrade is done I'll take it up with IDNet.
