The 12 month restriction is probably BTw being a pain.

True but still it shouldn't really matter, but if there is a Zen Pop near you I think you now get put onto that automatically if you are a new user. I could be wrong though. Also I think they may have a third supplier called Fluid Data but I have no idea who that is.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

When I called last Friday, they mentioned BTW and Fluid Data, but only mentioned Zen when I pushed them.

If I do join you lot, I guess I need to quiz them a bit more about who I would be connected to.

Gary

Any chance of a TBB speed test result and BQM if you have one.

Thanks,

Jon

See post 13 I think on the previous page of this thread, that's mine the one that says Gary  ;D  Zen are pretty good, but you only get put on their system if you have a Zen pop in your local exchange or if you are on a satellite exchange in s small village and the nearest big city yours is fed from has a Zen pop.

Hi Gary,

Not helped by IDNetters not loading the TBB image links for me, so apologies for missing that.

Doing the same on both a Mac and a PC so a router reboot may be required.

By the way, Zen have confirmed our exchange is a child exchange of a one with a Zen PoP.

Looks as though the TBB main site is down, which might explain the lack of images being served.

Perhaps I just missed the obvious last time. :slap:

No issues with TBB from here today  ???

It's working for me as well but given the state of the weather today it wouldn't surprise me if there were a few connection issues around the UK.

The site was down according to their own admission this morning.

It is back up and running now, but is being very slow to respond and the speed test isn't working for me.

The good news is that I have put my glasses on and can now see Gary's graph!

And one final question for you guys before I make a final decision.

Do you see any slow downs of your single or multi thread at specific times of the day or at weekends?

I have to say my speeds remain pretty consistent, I have no complaints, no slowdowns in the evening or at weekends that effect my gaming or streaming.

Consistent for at least the last year, possibly longer.

Good news.  Thanks, guys.   :thumb:

My FTTC connection works well in a day to day sense but my single thread speed rarely exceeds one third of the multi-thread speed. When I first got FTTC I was the only person on the cabinet and everything flew! I also see small amounts of packet loss, normally in the evening but some is often present during the day.
