i have a reasonable sized C drive, but i keep getting told that I need more space. it is 930GB with 212Gb used. what is the best way of releasing space. Seems an awful lot used to me.

You shouldn't be getting warnings if you still got over 700GB of space available.  Are you sure it's the C drive that's warning you about and not another attached drive?

It is a warning generated by pcloud drive when doing backups. i says it needs lots of space to work efficiently.

No idea about pcloud but could it be trying to sell you more space?

Possibly, it tells me if I free up space on my C drive the program will run faster. as I am at home that is rather unimportant to me. so i will leave it. Thanks for your input it has cleared my thinking somewhat.

If the figures you have quoted are correct, then you have plenty of space on your C drive.

How much space do you have available on pCloud?

Guessing you're using their synch app in which cae it may be you're getting some confusion coming from that?
If we tell people their brain is an app - they might actually start to use it.

Used 74.27MB Free 4.39GB the message from Acronis is: Failed due to an error, destination is unavailable. It was working, does not make sense to me. all I wish for is a reliable backup!   ???

So, you're using Acronis to backup to pCloud? Do you have the basic 10G free account or have you opted for more storage? I have used pCloud to synch drives in the past but found it too much of a faff. I have 15gb storage on pCloud but way too much stuff to make it viable. Great way to share Zoom recording though!

I thought Acronis only used their own storage for their cloud backup.....happy to be told otherwise.  However, whatever it does this doesn't sound at all right.
