I have new phone at last (hoorah). I have sorted the wallpaper out but realise that the lockscreen visible for such a short space of time that it's hardly worth having one. It doesn't appear possible to change the settings either as I have looked. So, is there a way of removing the lock screen one? Android 12, Moto phone. Googling has happened. It did not help. (On the plus side, great battery life.)

I don't think you can remove the wallpaper as such, as it needs to display something.  Can you not just choose the default one?  As you've said, it only displays for a few seconds, so hardly worth worrying about, really.

On most Android phones, you can choose the wallpaper for the Home screen and Lock screens separately, or have the same for both.  :)

There isn't default, as far as I can tell. (Oddly there is an option not to skip immediately to the page I was on last time, but it's greyed out.) Also, stop being so reasonable!  ;)

;D

I have a Samsung so it may be slightly different, but if I touch and hold a blank space on the home screen, I get a pop up menu which included Wallpaper options.  I can change my Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpapers here.

As it turns out, the upgrade to Android 13 sorts this out. It just goes with whatever colour/theme option you've picked.

But only briefly. Ah well.
