I migrated on the 21st August, when I log in to my IDNet account to see how much bandwidth I've used it just says No bandwidth information available for this period. Does it take a while after migrating in for the bandwidth stats to start updating?

Rik

I didn't think it did, Phil. Try logging out of your connection (how depends on the router you have, but a re-boot will always work). If it still hasn't updated a couple of hours later (it has to ripple through from BT), then give support a ring or email them.

I have already done a couple of re-boots of my router over the last couple of days and it hasn't made any difference. Maybe I should keep quiet and have an uncapped connection  ;D

Rik

Uncapped but still charging - at least that's how it always works out for me. :)

Right I've just emailed support, I'll wait and see what happens. It's not too much of a problem as I have NetMeter installed although this does no take into account any voip calls made/received.

Rik

You could also use the router's packet count to keep an eye on all WAN traffic, Phil.

Thanks mate. I'm very impressed so far, good speeds and good pings. I migrated from Zen as I was going over my 20GB limit a bit too often, the 30GB cap here is ideal for me.

Phil123

What is this Karma rating thing for forum users, how do you give/receive more Karma?

Rik

You only see the scoring system once you've made 10 posts, Phil.

Then, beneath the karma score you'll see a good/bad. Clicking on the link allows you to give, or take, karma.

One other thing, I've chosen to hide my email address on the forum but I'm still seeing the envelope on my posts, is it just me that can see it or everyone?

Rik

You'll see the envelope, Phil, but others won't. When you view your profile, you'll also see the address, but it will be in an italic font - this indicates it's hidden. An unhidden email address is shown in a roman font.

I've just taken a look at your profile, and the email addy is not visible. :)

(Take a look at aavid60 to see an unhidden email address.)

Thanks, sorry for all the dumb questions.

Rik

Not a problem, Phil - the hidden email thing confused me mightily when I joined. Some say I remain confused to this day. ;)

Well they seem to have sorted the problem, the stats are updating now.
