Seems that hackers are happily selling "kits" to set up phishing sites online now and even offering product support for them! Browsing the net is becoming more risky by the minute, and according to a BBC report 20% - do not use antivirus and 22% - open e-mail attachments from strangers  :o, this is the very reason I have so many disposable email addresses, it's hard to trust some people to keep their systems clean, and even harder for first time users to even know where to start, they don't realise how much patching is involved they dont realise that applications need patching, browsers need hardning and above all else pay for your internet security and then use it! I had a friend who had *cough* Norton 2004 still and explained to her its not going to find all the evils that would be on her pc since her daughter uses limewire! In the end she installed Kaspersky Internet Security 7 with a little nudging from me as she needed an all in one suite, and found over 58 issues with Worms and Trojans. Education is vital for users and sometimes I feel people need a security test before they buy a pc so as to protect the rest of us and themselves, there are Botnets out there now more powerful than IBM's Blue Gene and that's frightening.

We sing from the same hymn sheet, Gary, I've been arguing that people should be required to pass a proficiency test before being allowed to sign up to the net. :)
