Since your the backup king on this forum  :P i've got questions for you.

At work we want to backup to an offsite computer, is this easy done?

Also we want to do a backup that stays in the office... We have 1TB to use and there in the form of 2x500gb Freecom external usb hard drives. is it possible to get this networked so all computers backup to it?

thanks,
paul

A lot of companies, eg BT, offer off-site backup these days. Ideally, you want to be on a premium service or better for the upload speed it offers.

NAS storage is what you are after, something like this maybe?

I told my boss he will need Network storage this morning  :D

He wants to send a backup to his/mine or any other computer at home.. dont think he likes the idea of a 3rd party keeping stuff secure. But i dont think our ISP's will like us after one backup lol  :P

You're certainly likely to have a bandwidth issue in short order - not to mention the time it will take.

If you want off site storage I would backup to a external drive and take that home with you. Much quicker!

You should be able to plug it into one machine, right click on the drive in My Computer and click Sharing (possibly under Properties) and set it to shared. This will let you access it over the network.
