Lag in opening forum pages

I have noticed about a 3 second lag in opening Netters forum pages this evening, and my browser is indicating "Transferring data from www.google-analytics.com...", while waiting.   Umm... can't say any more, really.

I've never really understood why this site was hooked up to GA in the first place. I don't believe it can give any useful information about the use of the site or indeed does anyone actually bother to look at the results?

The data from Google Analytics is very useful for many purposes; one of the many useful pieces of information it provides is a list of most popular boards. It is reviewed every 30days and the data can lead to minor forum tweaks, new browser support being added, or any other change that would improve the forum.
