If they are using Royal Mail, Sam, that might not be a hood idea right now. :(

I can get it for £45 unlocked, new, with the special firmware next day delivery.

Whereas ive found a cheaper one for the same thing on ebay

Rik

Seems like a good deal, Sam - though delivery will be an issue. :(

Hope you pick up soon, Contepomi has been down with 'flu this week, so you're in good company (Argentinian rugby player).

SO £38.75 inc postage unlocked and new with special firmware is the thing to go for  :P

Rik

I'm no expert, Sam, but it sounds good to me. The only issue is the delivery - he's using Royal Mail, so there will be nothing for a week or so.

Route has come...its definately not new as stated  ::) here

Dare i plug it in to try it? Will a simple reset afterwards hide the fact I used it?  :P - Looks like im going to have to send it back eesh

Rik

Given his feedback, Sam, it would be worth contacting him. A reset should erase any signs of your having used it.

   Hi,
I am really sorry please accept my appologies.
If you can put it in the post I will send you another one out by return.

Tell him to send you out a " new " one , which you paid for, and you will return the incorrect item once you have received it, together with the cost of return postage.

Otherwise dispute it with Paypal, you will win 100%.

So with the new one he sends out he encloses some money for return?

cheers guys

I sent him this

QuoteHi,
I would like for you to send out a new one (which I have paid for) together with the cost of returning the item. I will then return the incorrect item once I have received the new one and funds to cover return of the used product i was sent.

Thanks

grr..

Got this..

QuoteHi,
Sorry I have checked my stock and I haven't got a new 2700HG-B to replace yours with. The only ones I have got left are the BT Business Hubs 2700HGVs I am advertising on Ebay. So if you return the one you have I will give you a full refund of all monies paid.
Appologies again.
Regards

What you reckon? I dont really want to pay to return something that was wrong on their behalf...

On a lighter note (hopefully) have these got any better?

Hi Sam

The stats look pretty close to those given by the Netgear to me. On your line, I'd be surprised to see much improvement, tbh.

As to the return, raise a complaint. He's falsely described goods he's sold you. You should not have to pay to return them.
