Yes, well spotted Noreen, that's good to see, I posted a review on there after I joined and it seems a few more people have been shouting IDNets praises as well obviously  ;D
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Gary

Someone should point out that IDNet do offer webspace though, it still lists it as not offering that I noticed.

It also says that the usage cap on Home Lite is 2GB, although it does tell people to check the IDNet site maybe some just wouldn't bother.

Gary

I agree, that information needs to be changed as some people would maybe see that and dismiss IDNet without coming to check for themselves, people tend to see information on sites like that as written almost in stone.

Rik, do you know whether anything is being done to correct the IDNet info on the DSL ZoneUK site? I dare say that the info on a certain other ISP will be correct of course.  ;)

Rik

I don't know, Noreen, but I can ask. :)

Well, personally I think that it's important as I've found that DSL ZoneUK is the most quoted ISP comparison site on some other forums.

Rik

DSL Zone have the new info, James has promised to sort it out... :(

A discussion on another forum led me to discover this.............IDNet produced the second highest 8 Mbps speed average last month in the ISP list on DSL ZoneUK.

ISP Average
Easynet 6659.44
IDNet 5774.42
Aquiss 5493.68
NewNet 5331.90
Brightview 5269.97
freedom2surf 5243.09
Zen 4987.77
Plusnet 4977.05
Entanet 4762.54
ADSL24 4512.88
Sky Broadband 4417.32
Eclipse 4284.89
Bulldog 4134.04
Tiscali 4114.75
Fast.co.uk 3923.11
BT 3907.46
Nildram 3858.35
AOL 3784.78
TalkTalk 3749.90
Orange 3574.34
Pipex 3505.65
Demon 3210.43
Virgin Media 2805.05
Karoo 2391.45
EFH Broadband 2266.09

No wonder they are in no hurry to correct the info on the IDNet page.

Rik

ADSL24 is well down the list, isn't it Noreen. :)

I hope so, from what I've read they are walking a very fine line - if they haven't crossed it.

Not surprised by Orange, a friend of mine still with them trapped by an 18month contract and is struggling with 30kps upload and 512kbs downstream and he is on the dreaded Orange LLU  >:D
