There seems to be a DNS problem with webmail, so if you're still having problems accessing it, try:

So did I Gary, I just though I'd post the link in case people don't get the re-direct.

;D sorry Rik, its just getting all a little annoying now, what with email failure over the weekend blogspace playing hide and seek and now DNS errors, and its not as if it wasn't that long ago we had email failure and DNS errors anyway  :-\

The re-direct has been removed an webmail now appears to be working normally.

Webmail and POP3 all working now  :)

Had some fun with POP3... I can't see how, but it looks like the fault corrupted my POP3 settings somehow  :-\. I had to delete the account and then re-create it, and it took me about 5 goes to delete the account! Right-click, delete wouldn't get rid of it, I had to go into Mail, Preferences and delete it from there  >:( (This is on an iMac).

So not only do these things only happen at weekends, they prefer weekends when I'm not at home  >:( >:(

Murphy's third law, Bill.

I take it these were local settings, not server settings?

Yes, they were. I realised something was up when I took the account online, but the on/offline indicator didn't change, though the pop-up menu said it was online. And attempting to use it, immediately took it offline again without an error message  :-\

Not standard behaviour at all  :P. I doubt I'll ever get to the root cause, but it works now so I don't really care  ;D

We'll put it down to the direction the wind was blowing then, Bill. :)

Since the wind is blowing the right way now Rik, will we see our blogs blossoming again?
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

Congratulations, oh newly Guru'd one. Have a karma.  :)

I'm guessing there will be no change in the blog situation until Martin is back tomorrow.
