I'm getting Error Dx800CCC19 when I try to connect to idnet.com. Is there email server work going on at the moment and would that cause this message?

I'm getting time out errors as well, I think today they were hoping to get Trevor back online hopefully, but I could be wrong

Well something's working again- I've just received nearly 400 emails dating back to 28th September

IDNet.com is (yet again) 'down'.

IDNet.co.uk continues as per normal.

So the email is *not* down - but the freebie service is ...

Part of the email system is down, would be a better way to phrase it, and mine has just kicked in again

As has been said, let's hope it's because Trevor is being resurrected, and soon all will be well in the garden of IDNet.

Can't believe it's down again. Am getting really annoyed with this e-mail problem. All my messages that I saved had gone when I did get back online on monday. Not helpful when I'm contacting suppliers for a wedding and their replies disappear

Apologies everyone, the mail server is struggling a little this morning whilst we restore all the mail that was 'lost' over the weekend. Which brings me onto the good news that after a lot of hard work and some help from some clever friends at 'Mythic Beasts' we've managed to retrieve the mail from Trevor. We're now busy restoring it to your live mail boxes - there's a lot of mail so it's likely to take most the day to complete.

Thanks for the update, Tim.  That's very encouraging, and hopefully will put people anxious over lost emails a little more at ease.  Keep us informed.

FYI: IDNet are working on the server today, so mail, web space and blogs will be a bit intermittent as the work progresses.

Mine has been working for the past 15 minutes or so, but I've not seen any influx of recovered mail - but then I don't know what was lost in the first place.

What would be best in the long term is to have Trevor, the original server fixed, things may finally work as planned then, as it is getting to be annoying now for people who do not pay for idnet.co.uk email addresses.

Yes, mine is now working, but there are still some emails still to filter through.  Hopefully things will catch up during the day.
