Thanks Rik. My ADSL is fine. It's just my email which I can't access.

Rik

That's good, I know that BT didn't complete one migration on Friday, so was worried you might have the same problem.

That was my migration, Rik. Tim spoke to my son on Saturday morning and we finally got online late Saturday afternoon. On Friday afternoon I got the email address/password sorted, populated my address book and sent out an email to my contacts with my new address. Since then, I haven't been able to access the email.

Rik

No, the one I'm thinking of wasn't you and still hasn't been completed. BT seem to have been having a bad day on Friday. :(

If you go to your accounts page and set up a new email account, can you than access that, or your web or blog space?

Rik - I have just set up another email account as a test, but the same problem occurred. Login failed.

Rik

That seems to be the pattern, and it's affecting people who migrated in towards the end of last week as far as I can see. :(

Give support a call in the morning, I'm sure they'll sort it quickly.

Thank you so much for your help. It's nice to be able to get some info from someone in the know. Better than premium rate phone calls to my previous ISP.

Rik

Sadly, in this instance, I don't know enough - but there has been a clear pattern emerge, it's something the forum is good at establishing. I can then make sure that those that need to know see the threads, so hopefully, we can get you up and running just as soon as possible.

You do know it's a freefone call to IDNet, don't you? Much better than premium rate. :)

Where we can help more in the forum is on general connection issues, speed etc, where we don't need account information to address issues.
