Hi there all,
Just sorted out my migration from F2s today and the activation date is 25\oct at around 6pm.
I will have to pay for a month even though i've gone! but the free month from idnet covers that, so no worries ;D

i'm working away this week so i'll have to get the eldest daughter to reconfigure the router for access :o. Expect to see a large mushroom cloud somewhere over North Wales later this week. It won't be the Netgear, it'll be my head on the other end of the phone line!!!

Good luck, Ted. Most migrations actually take place in the small hours, the 6pm thing is BT covering themselves. Let us know if you need any help. :)

I migrated last Friday from F2S with no problems.  The router log showed it re-connected about 4.30am but was still using the F2S log-in.  It stayed connected to F2S until the late afternoon before you couldn't connect to web pages etc.  Al it required was a change of log-in and password on the router (a Netgear like yours) and we were back connected.

If you go through it with your daughter beforehand, I'm sure she'll be able to change it OK.
If everything else fails .......................... read the manual!  Some poor sod spent ages writing it.

After I migrated from f2s and the connection was running OK, I emailed f2s and informed them of the fact and asked them to confirm by email that they had received the information, which they did with no problem. I have heard of some f2s people having problems re cancellation of payments after migration.

I actually got an email:

QuoteDear Mr,

Re: 01*********
Account Name: *******

We have received notification of your migration away from Freedom2surf, your
service end date has been confirmed as 2007-10-19 (year-month-day).

Your account will be automatically shut down and any payments due after
2007-10-19 will not be billed.

If you have any queries regarding this, please contact us on the number or
email address mentioned below.

Kind regards,

Mind you - they must be getting plenty of practice! ;D

Only joking, i'm sure she will handle it OK.
It certainly looks as if F2s are getting a lot of practice. I rang (yes rang) sales this morning and was answered (yes answered)  in about a minute!! Spoke to a nice lady who gave me my MAC code there and then over the phone. It was also emailed to me. Got straight on to IDnet and the deed was done. Went quite smooth really, it was almost disappointing in a strange sort of way. Nah just kidding.

I know what you mean - you gird your loins for a good fight and the opponent rolls over. Pure anti-climax. :)

I did think that when I posted! I shouldn't have let the secret out before you have migrated...  >:D
