Hi all
having a problem using Thunderbird to access my idnet.com email address.  Since yesterday I keep getting "connection to server pop3.idnet.com timed out" error message.

In desperation (because I don't really like the webmail interface) I even set up Windows Mail, but that's timing out too.

I've upped the connection time out but it's not made any difference :-(  Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

TIA
Myd

Mine has been fine.  Have you tried setting up a new 'test' email address to see if that works?  A call to IDNet support might be your best option, if you're not getting anywhere.

Hi Myd

I agree with Simon, you need to call support on this, partly because we can't ask you for your password, partly because they can watch what happens when you try to connect to the server. My hunch is that your password has become corrupted - but it could be something else entirely.

Hi
Thanks both.  Will give support a call - tried my other idnet account that I've set up via Thunderbird and the same is happening with that.

Forgot to mention in my previous message that I can send emails from my @idnet.com address.  ??? ???

Everything points to a quick phone call, Myd. They'll have you back up and running in no time.
