Hi guys,
I signed up for Home Lite on Sunday and I could have sworn it said download allowance was 10gb per month...

Connection has activated today and it now says 5gb.

Has it changed, or did I read it wrong?
I assume if I'm wrong, I can upgrade to the 30gb package with no issues?

Regards
Steve

Steve welcome to Idnet and have a welcome Karma.

No it hasn't changed 5GB is the correct download limit for Home Lite, but you can easily change your package up or down there is no charge for this and it usually happens quickly. This doesn't apply to the Home Max package though there is a charge to regrade to this.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome!
I think I'll be upgrading tomorrow then.  ::) ;D Should have read it properly.

I have to say, I migrated from Tiscali, and so far I have been blown away by the service and the speed I'm getting.

BT and Tiscali told me I'd get 1mbps maximum, I'm now getting 3.6-4.0mbps. Result!

Thanks again!

Welcome beercan, you can keep and eye on your bandwidth usage on your login page as well on IDnet's home page  :)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Simon

Beercan.  :)  I don't think you'll regret joining IDNet for a minute, and I am sure they will sort something out for you regarding a regrade if you want to go onto the Max package.

Hi Steve

Another welcome to the forum from me. :)

If 10GB is all you need, it would actually be cheaper to stay on Home Lite and pay for the additional usage. This would cost you £22.99pm instead of £24.99.

IDNet don't throttle your connection if you go over your allowance, they will give you ample warning by email if it's likely to happen, and then simply charge the extra.

Another welcome Steve Beercan.  With a name like that you should fit in well with this forum. ;D

I don't think anyone can go wrong with IDNET (as long as they read what they are signing up for ;D )  I have been with them comming up for 2 years now and have been more than happy with them, and it's nice to talk to people who know their product and how everything works.  But i'd still like to see a piccie of Miriam. >:D

I signed up my son a while ago, he works from home as a software developer and has said it is the best, most rliable and consistant connection he has ever had.  I have just signed my lifelong freind up yesterday, he is computer barren (knows nothing) but within a week of my tuition he will know a lot or become an ex-friend. >:D
