Hi
I had interleaving disabled a few days ago, I had a sync of 7000 and a profile of 6000 and everything was working well.  This morning my sync speed was down to 300kbps and my profile was at 135kbps!  I rebooted my router and I'm back up to a sync of 5000 but still have a profile of 135kbps.

Do you think turning off interleaving caused this or could it be something else?

Rik

Interleaving is used to stabilise a line, but it could be simply that you had a bad burst of noise.

The profile will take a little while to catch up with the higher sync speed - anything from 75 minutes to  5 days, depending on who you believe at BT. :(

yeah i'm still waiting for my profile to catch up to a decent speed after 6 months Rik.

you cannot trust them BT people who tell you it will be done in 5 days

;)

ok thanks, I'll play the waiting game.

It was working fine until I decided to "tweak" it!  Why do I always have to play around with things?!

Kheldar

always fatal to try tweaking !
