I use Nero 7 quite happilly, and Nero 8 was released not long ago. Can't recall having any problems with other programs either.

I'm still happily using Nero 6 and I don't let it do everything it seems to think it should be doing. I also generally agree with most of the previous comments particularly if it's not broke then don't fix it.

(Hurrah, I've made a 1000 posts  :D, gosh how did that happen  :o)

Malc

At the moment I need nothing that XP dosn't give me, the only thing that interests me on Vista is DirectX10, when the times comes for games to need it, I will move.

Like you say - if it ain't broke, don't fit it.

Lance

I had Nero 6 on my XP desktop until I got version 7 as I didn't want to v6 on my Vista laptop!

Congratulations on the 1000 posts John! Have a celebratory karma!

All our karmas are very happy, they have an excellent standard of living, and we tuck them in at night, read them a story and fetch glasses of water on request.

A report suggests XP SP3 makes XP 10% faster.  "According to the Office performance benchmarks, Windows XP SP3 is also considerably faster than Vista SP1. "None of this bodes well for Vista, which is now more than two times slower than the most current builds of its older sibling," said Barth" Full article here http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,139911/article.htm
