Is anyone else having issues with google searches? The homepage is slow to load for me and searches even slower!

Anything and everything that I post on here is purely my opinion, it ain't going to change the world, you are under no obligation to agree with me, it is purely my expressed opinion.

Gary

I have google problems as well, and using firefox, its intermittent as well :-\
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

Google seems slow and the forum is also being affected slightly (by Google Analyticals). Support advised.

Simon has checked the routers at IDNet, and there's no problems there. I've found a report on ThinkBroadband of this problem affecting other ISPs, so it appears to be a Google issue at the moment.

Ann

Google not working, Facebook broken earlier and another forum I read has been broken all day.  I thought the internet was coming to an end.

Rik

As far as we know, Ann, it's not an IDNet issue, but can you let me have the URL of the forum and I'll pass it on. Use PM if you prefer.

http://discuss.pdsa.org/

and no before anyone thinks so.. PDSA is nothing to do with animals!  It's probably just the site is down.  Be back tomorrow I expect.

Rik

That does appear to be a server down, Ann. You might be interested to know, though, that McAfee has the site tagged as 'amber', they appear to have some risky elements there when they inspected it, eg spamming or infected downloads.

Facebook is OK and is pinging about 164ms, Google is pinging erratically, which fits with the performance I've been watching this afternoon.

Ross

Facebook has been up and down for me too. Same with google.

I'll got make dinner instead. ;)

Sebby

Google seems to be fine for me now.  :)

Rik

It's been 'on and off' for several hours, Sebby. Let's hope we have now reached the point of being more on than off. :)

You're right, it's gone slow again. Never mind!

rireed3

Same as last month:

More than one specific site, including

Google
Idnetters

not including

BBC
natwest.com

I say DNS problem like last time.

Very annoying to effectively do without Google.

Richard

Sebby

I use OpenDNS and still have the problems.  ;)

cavillas

Google site has been googled. >:D

Alf :)

Simon

Trouble with Google here too, but Netters seems to be OK.

Rik

The only effect I've seen on the forum has been due to our use of Google Analyticals.
