How's the line doing, though, In? You do seem to have the same SBC firmware as me.
Same Rik, no change..  :(

They are meant to be set the way I posted though Rik that's how any other router would select them and as IDNet specify, just trying to see if the correct settings  would help the problematic routers  :-\ anyway I hope they get them sorted :)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Same Rik, no change..  :(

Has to be a bum modem then - unless your line really had collapsed.

Didnt someone else line collapse Rik after one of these incidents? Or was that after lots of fiddling ;)

Rik

I can't remember, Gary, I think I'm getting a little 2700 happy...

Sounds about right for my luck Rik, :( I will put my old faithful Zyxel back in soon, then we shall see.

I think I would have given up on digidave by now personally :(

Suppose so In - but not much use in a single PC home though. Going to give it the firmware upgrade treatment tonight - not too bothered if it 'bricks it' with another on the way.

When you report the fault to Dave feel free to quote my open ticket EKQ-55517 to him. No doubt you will get the standard hardware reset and MTU change replies but hopefully we can convince him his stock of 2700HG's are underperforming !

Latest speedtest.. ???

I agree Rik, this 2700HG will be used as a spare, the other one will do to prop my door open with.

I have used a BT Voyager, A Talk Talk aka Philips, and the Zyxel, never had speeds this low, ever.

Killhippie,

I think you are referring to my experience of the 2700HG - profile dropped from 3Mbps to a whopping 512kbps. Luckily it recovered with the old ST330 within 6 hours thats to BT's new way of detecting anomalous fluctuations.

Hope you recover as quickly In.

Thanks Mike, he may still get an EBay Neg from me, depending on his response. ;)

In,

I'm holding fire on the EBay feedback - he tends to give back as good as he gets if you look at who's neg'd in the past.

So do I Mike, otherwise I will be a very unhappy bunny indeed.

I was only really experimenting anyway to see how the bloody thing would function on a good line.

Indeed Rik, I am sitting here laughing at my bad luck and Mike comes up with that gem.. ;D

Anyway, I am now going to revert back to my Zyxel and if I have lost my speed it's all your fault Rik for feeding me in to this bloody 2700 lark in the first place..  ;D

Now where has that " Bad " Karma fingy gone? :hehe:

Oh you removed it just in time..   ;D ;D

I have this deal with DodgyDave - timing is everything.

The sad thing is that, for most people, the 2700 has been a start performer. I have to suspect the stock he's got, a sudden rash of problems like this can't be a fluke. :(
