Just a quickie, do wireless data transfers between, say, a laptop and a desktop, count towards the monthly bandwidth allowance with IDNet?

If you're transferring a file locally, then no, that doesn't count. :)

Long answer, LAN traffic has nothing to do with the internet and, hence, your IDNet connection.
