My 2700 just gets better. I had a couple of very quick power cuts this morning. Just enough to make the lights go on and off. Fearing the worst I checked the stats on my 2700 and they had not changed. No loss of sync. I have never had a router which holds on to a line so well. And it just gets better. Having just got in from work I checked my stats to see if there had been any more power cuts. My stats had changed as I had had a DSL retrain a couple of hours ago. My sync has now gone up to this. Connection Speed:
• Incoming: 7456 kbps
• Outgoing: 448 kbps
Its just taken me up to the next profile. Great stuff. :)

Rik

Mine did the same the other day, Bill, just re-booted itself and connected 400k higher, pushing me up a profile step. I'm just waiting for BT to catch up. :)

Once again, nicely done, 2Wire. :)

Do you think we should start a formal fan club?  ;D

Who'd sign the photos? Maybe DigiDave?

£9.40 delivered is the best price so far, I think.

It was. Plus I got a replacement from DD because it has a faulty LED. Unfortunately, the new one had the "low sync" problem, and I didn't bother pursuing it further. The original one is doing just great, and I'm over the dodgy LED now.

When I get a chance, I'm going to try and re-flash the other one and see if that sorts it, then I'll think about making it the communal 2700 for if anyone here wants to give it a try.  :)

old Bill

My 2700 lost sync for the first ever last night. Back to the old sync speed. It seems that if it retrains to a higher speed it cannot hold it for that long. :(

Den

My 2wire 2700HGV has held sync at 7552 for twenty days so far and counting. I installed a alarm a commercial premises recently and BT had dropped off two 2700s thinking one was faulty. The engineer said he wouldn't take the first one back as they would only bin it ,so I paid the owner a tenner for it as a spare just in case.

I was going to do the same but my latest router developed an internal power problem after a few days use, as it is a MS charity (not the Bill Gates MS) that I got it from I have not asked for a refund etc.

To be honest, if that happened, I could always get hold of another one for no too much. :)
