Has anyone else noticed that sometimes the icons change. Thought it was me at first but unusually it isn't.
Seems to happen in two places (that i've noticed), the "system" icon at the top and also the one in "Network at a glance", just below
These are the 2 icons that interchange. First i get the older one which i believe is a 1800, refresh the page and it changes to the regular 2700.
Doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally.
Bug in the firmware maybe, i wouldn't be surprised.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Rik

With the SBC firmware, Ted, I only ever see the top icon.

Must be nice having "proper" firmware ;D instead of buggy old BT rubbish.

Or a bad brain day. He doesn't inspire me with confidence as a seller, seems to be a bit of a bully.

Yes, I've noticed it, but thought I was going mad! There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it.

Ted

Glad "we're" not both going mad ;D
I've tried loads of different ways to reproduce the change, with no joy. I think its a case of, "a watched pot never boils". Not a problem, just curious, will have another glass of wine and ponder some more ;D

OK bit of an update.
If i put the mouse over the 2700 icon it changes to the 1800, refresh the page and it changes back and so on.
Below that where it says Broadband link, i now have the firewall icon, if i mouse over that i get the BB link icon, this reverts to firewall icon when i move the mouse off.
I have also seen a yellow phone icon where the BB link one should be!!

Guess what, i just tried it again before posting and it won't do it. ARRGGHHH :conf:

I don't think there's any logical explanation; it's obviously just some sorted of bug. :)

Actually i think i've got it.
Go to 192.168.1.254 and you get the 2700 icon, if you mouse over it stays the same and just highlights.
Now refresh the page and do a mouse over and it changes to the old icon.
Try it, see if it works for you.

OOps make that a "1"

Nope, I can only get the 2700 icon.  :P

Ted

I can do this every time now but only in that exact sequence. It has to be a fresh page to start with.  Hmmmmm

Nope, definitely doesn't work for me.

Rik

Nor me, I only get the old icon either way.

Indeed. Like I say, I have seen that other icon, but I certainly can't reproduce it.

Sebby

I've just realised that I can replicate this but in Firefox only. Strange!

Rik

Quick, blame Mozilla. :) :out:

I don't blame Mozilla, I blame Microsoft. 2Wire probably only tested it in IE.

Ted

It does look like a FF issue, i've tried a few other browsers and no problems.
Still seems strange that firefox can produce this error. The error must be there as the different icons don't just come from nowhere, if you see what i mean. ???

Okay, no we can blame Mozilla.
