Hi again!

I recently had to do a full reinstall of Windows XP Pro, and as a result I had to reconfigure Outlook Express to get my email.

I went to the idnet email account page, to be certain I had remembered the passwords correctly, found I had, so set OE to poll my mailboxes.

The problem is, only one of my 4 mailboxes will now let me in! I set them all up exactly the same, but on 3 of them I am repeatedly asked to enter my password via the popup box that normally means you dropped a clanger with the password.

I have even gone as far as copy/pasting the password (shown in plain text) from the idnet account page into the popup box in OE with the same result.

Any ideas chaps/chapesses?

Hi Dave,

All I can suggest is deleting the accounts that don't work, and try again.

For some reason unknown to man, sometimes when they get set up they just refuse to work. The next time, they will!

Erm - ignore that lunacy above. It was my own stupidity that caused it!

In fact it's SUCH a no-brainer, I'm not even going to tell you why the boxes didn't work......

But where is the fun in that! Go on - spill the beans!!!

Oh ok then....

I'd put the account NAMES in fine, but forgot to put @idnet.com after them....
