Hello everyone

Migrated in from Metronet at the beginning of the year and everything is as I hoped! :).....a bit of a distance to the exchange but got a rock solid 2Mb (Draytek 2600 router)

Have one minor query on the account website pages on Usage figures. When I try and update figures I get logged off?

Is it a website problem or a setting/Java specific to my PC (although have the same problem accessing on other PCs at work etc) or does anyone else have this?

It's not a big problem right now but will be a bit annoying if i want to look back over previous month's usage after January.

I moved from Metronet not through any problems as such but feel since they are now part of Plusnet if i get problems I'll be in better hands with IDnet...the small extra price paid will easily be saved in a problem situation!
I work for a small chain of Barber Shops in the midlands who have several broadband links that originally were on EFH Broadband,,,,but that went really bad after the takeover by 186k!!!...so have been migrating these sites to IDnet as support is important.

glad to be here

regards

Mike

Hi Mike

Welcome to the forum and IDNet, have a karma. :)  :welc: :karmic:

The logout problem is known about, but is proving difficult to track down. It occurs, generally, after a particular sequence of actions, but if you log back in and repeat them, it is usually fine. :(

If I log in, go to my usage stats, step through the three tabs, then go to network status, it will always log me out.

You can, of course, sign up to an RSS feed for usage and network status, and have them delivered to your desktop automatically.

Hi Rik,

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I remember there was an issue about RSS feeds in Firefox. I'm using V2.0.0.1. Do you know if this works now and could point me to some set up instructions, or whether I need to load a plug-in to make it work?

Regards,

JB.

Martin came up with a workaround for Live Bookmarks, so it will work fine without a plug-in. However, if you want to keep a history longer than 3 days, I'd suggest looking at the 'Brief' addon. The combination works fine. It also work with IE7, Opera, Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird that I'm aware of.

All you need to do is login to your accounts page, go to the monthly usage stats, and click on the RSS link there.
