I swear I have my IDNetters profile setup to email me regarding replies to threads etc but this doesn't seem to work.

Does it work for anyone else?

That is bloody typical and baffling. - as soon as I post, I receive my first email notification about another thread.

Ignore this one, sorry :-D.

It's always the way. I'm glad it's working okay. I was going to say I don't know what the problem could be as it's always worked for me! :)

There are 'Additional Options' underneath the message text box, one of which is to 'Notify me of Replies', but if you have this set to do so by default in your profile, you should receive notifications on all threads you enter.  :)

My email flows through a hardware antispam appliance before hitting out exchange server. I have a feeling this has been tagging all emails from IDNet as spam because up until I posted, I didn't get anything (sods law). At the moment they're all getting delayed by about 15 minutes so it looks like that's what the problem was.

That sounds likely. Email to Yahoo & Hotmail addresses gets blocked regularly. I have no problems myselg, but I use an idnet.com address.

We use 'mailfoundry' which is great but does need some improvement. Working for a Hosting company we have an absolutely nightmare of a time with RBLs and other blocks. I can't say Hotmail has ever been a problem... generally their filtering is excellent. GMail is another one who is great - they use Postini which is near perfect. Yahoo on the other hand..., ugh - yuk! They have some of the worst filtering around for blocking legitimate servers. They block based on 'characteristics of spam' rather than actual spam. This means if a few users send real emails that their system thinks is spam, they will block the entire server.

GMail has never been a problem for us, and Hotmail isn't if people have POP3 access, but the webmail blanks the messages, possibly an issue with the SMF mailer.
