mines killhippie all lower case on psn. I get remarks like what's a 46 year old playing games for, then I ambush and shoot the the gits, or ram them off the road in paradise city since that was a freebie download on psn+  ;D but my reaction times are slower but I blame my medication
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I used to get that when playing counterstrike. Then I'd own them inside out, and then they'd be abusive and/or racist, and then they'd be surprised that I was the admin and banned them off the Jolt network. Ah, memories ;D

I stopped playing counter strike because although I had a chance against the bots, human players used to take me out with a headshot.

I've now successfully connected my Xbox to the 'net using homeplug adapters.

So in old East End parlance: Who wants some?!

I just don't play anything competitive any more. Even the likes of the racing games are going the way of pay to win (Must shell out extra for the latest, and fastest/best, characters or cars etc). So I've been put off it. Does not mean I don't play against the computer of for a laugh on occasion though. :D

I wish I had the time some of these people spend on games.

Niall

I've spent over 100 hours on Skyrim. Admittedly that was a combination of a week off work and not feeling well enough to actually go anywhere, but still :D

I don't like games that have no goal. WoW for instance I dread to think how many hours I peed away. Repetitive tasks that ultimately lead you to do more of the same with no end goal ever being available. Skyrim however had an actual end if you choose to stop playing at the end of the story line, plus is enormous and immersive, so it actually feels like you're in a story, which is nice.

Well, I've had to change my gamertag as I'd forgotten the password AND the secret question answer and in that case it appears MS can't help at all.

So now I am Terrahawk02

Technical Ben

OH, can't you reclaim via Email? AFAIK you can, they just send you an email. Else use the XBox you played with (if you still got it) and it will "retrieve" it for you.

Been down that road Ben, I didn't set up the retrieval options properly it would appear, changing the associated Windows Live ID from the console requires the password which of course I don't have.

On the questionnaire it also asks for the subjects of some mails you recently sent, as the associated address was a yahoo mail one that didn't work of course and for some reason I'd killed off the yahoo one, I suppose so its one less password to remember

Anyway now the associated account is a hotmail one, have set the security question properly and have also set up a reset via text option, just hope MS don't start sending me junk SMS.

Technical Ben

Well, AFAIK my original Hotmail account was lost to the place all IT post it notes, cables and those little screws you need end up... lost! So my original XBox Live account is lost to. :( So I feel for you.

Not lost anything so no problem really.

Spent quite a few hours playing Mortal Kombat online yesterday, mostly getting beaten but did beat a few players too.

I will do for now, RA, but obviously if there's no take up, we'll have to reconsider whether it merits being stickied long term.  :)

13 years later, it's still stuck.
