My 2700 did a DSL retrain last night around 7.00 my sync speed dropped from 7200 which it had been connected at for around 5 days to 6220. I unplugged the router and left it of all night. I have just powered it up and my sync is still sitting around the 6240 mark. Could it be that BT are messing about at the exchange or has the router dropped my sync speed due to the amount of errors on the line ? Very cheesed off either way.

That sounds like a BT problem Bill, I would leave it a while and reboot again, if BT have stopped messing around it should come back up but would then take a few days to get back up to speed. I had a problem with resyncing about a month ago and it was caused by the power pack on my old HP laptop, since I bought the Asus laptop I have held sync (37 days and counting).

I have had various retrains lately, which I have assumed is due to the BT work going on at exchanges - at least I hope so cos the period of retrains have coincided with moving over to the 2701!

Having said that, I am getting higher sync speeds with it than with the previous Speedtouch.
