Is there no getting shot of Pipex! I used to be a broadband customer, after Plusnet went to f2s, Pipex took `em over, now I get my home telephone calls via Homecall, Pipex took them over as well  ???

Saw a clip on Watchdog last night about Homecall, prior to Pipex taking them over used underhand tactics to procure new business. I can concur, used to phone me up out of the blue asking for friends and family phone numbers who I might recommend (even though I`m ex-directory and signed up to Telephone Preference Service) and even trying to send me mobile phones throught the post on approval (beware here, small print will usually say that you can send phones back but only if box hasn`t been opened, happened to mate of mine), so I`m after a new supplier for my home phone calls ... any suggestions IDNetters? :)

Same here.....BT, use mobile more than landline

Jeff

With 4 mobile phones on the go in my house, it makes sense for me to keep the landline alive ;)

Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

If anyone sends anything through the post that you didn't request, keep it!

It's covered by the Unsolicited Goods Act (forget the year). If they want it back, they have to arrange it and pay your costs. I think you're obliged to keep it for six months (may be three) after which it's yours.

Do you still pay line rental to BT on top of the £30 a quarter you pay Toucan  ?
