Evening speeds will be the same. That's the beauty of a good ISP. ;)

Rik

I always have plenty of Valium available.

Are you on a fixed-rate 1Mbps service, Jill?

J!ll

Max (up to 8Mbps connection)

Rik

Can you post your line stats from the router? That sync is very low.

Router status  ??? sorry Jack in London  :(

Rik

You really need to get the login info from him, Jill. If he's not around and you have a problem, you could be in difficulties.

Can you try a BT speed test?

J!ll

I have, just don't know what I am clicking on  :D

BT test, cannot get past 96%, still waiting!  :rant2:

Rik

Are you using IE as your browser? In general, it seems to work best with the BT tester.

If you have got the login info, all you have to do is got to the router homepage in your browser and click on the Stats button at the bottom of the page.

Trying IE now, not having much luck with BT speed test

This?

ADSL Link     Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed    1152 kbps    448 kbps
Line Attenuation    44 db    15.5 db
Noise Margin    10 db    18 db

Rik

Those are terrible figures, Jill. I have a 56db attenuation, but sync around 3500.

Have you done the usual stuff of removing the ringwire, not using flat extensions etc?
