Your noise margin appears to be normalising.

Normal noise margin, for a female  ???

J!ll

Rik

As it does, you are, of course, going faster. :)

Is that a question, Jill?

It looks like you had an overnight re-sync, so go a lower speed, but in daylight, the margin has increased.

Well I did mean to ask, but posted without  ;D

Never mind. Rik has crystal balls  :eyebrow:

It's getting slower  ???

Sebby

The fact that the noise margin is 13dB in the last result, compared with 9dB in the first (assumed to be your target SNRM) suggests that you may have sync'd at night when there is more noise around, and subsequently you get a lower sync, then the noise margin gets better during the day.

Of course, it could be that your target has been increased to 15dB, and the last set of statistics is at night when this would have deteriorated a bit.

It's difficult to say, but the best thing to do would be to re-sync in the morning and let us know what you achieve. :)

 Missed this! OK, will do  :thumb:

Is that immediately after a re-sync, Jill?

Rik

OK, then I'm guessing your target noise margin is at 12db and you router is falling off that pretty quickly, which would imply noise on the line again. Have a word with support, and get them to check the line.

OK, done, will let you know what they say  :thumb:

Sebby

I agree with Rik. What router are you using, Jill? Is it a Netgear?

J!ll

Sebby

Hmm, I never really trust stats from a Netgear; they seem to fluctuate so wildly compared with other routers, making it difficult to see what's actually going on.

So I take it your router is losing sync fairly often, then?

J!ll

Looks like it, I've tried to to a BT speed test but they're having problems

QuoteLATEST: Currently Sytem have the problem.Sorry for inconvenience.
