I was unable to get router stats, I emailed them Saturday asking them for the password/username, gave them the BT results. As they didn't respond to the first email I mailed them again asking for this, their reply is the one I gave earlier. Had another email from James telling me I could put my router back.

Rik

Hi Jill

I've just checked with James. The username is admin, the password is whatever your login password is for IDNet. He does though, need you to connect the router directly to the test socket, using the ADSL lead and filter he supplied, to eliminate all the possibilities that he can. The router does not need to be connected to the PC for this. If you could do that, then give him a ring, so that he can take another look at the line, it would be helpful.

Thank you, Rik. I understand from James that BT are saying it is my end!  he's hoping it's not  :(

Rik

Now all we need is for BT to agree...

Good luck with BT. :)

Rik

Jill doesn't need luck, Seb, she needs divine intervention (and a supply of bacon butties). :)

You'd be amazed at how booked hours can shrink with a little hospitality, Jill. :)

Well it's never worked before, I end up with an empty fridge and still get their huge bills  :)

Rik

It worked for me, Jill, three times since we've been here, voice, cable TV and ADSL. :)

So how much could the bacon butties save me?  :D

Rik

In my case, it saved an hour of billable time.
