Since I joined Id-net I have been on the home PAYG package because it more suits my needs and pocket, my question is this, at times I tend to go over my download limit ( now I've got a reliable ISP I seem to use it more) am I likely to get into bother for exceeding my limit?.  I don't really want to upgrade, because in the summer I wont use it so much and expect the 1GB limit to be ample for my needs, but at the same time don't want to be shouted at in the winter.
EX Orange and proud of it.

IDNet won't shout at you. :) They'll warn you if you're likely to go over the limit, if you do, they'll simply charge you £1/GB for the 'overs'. No slowdowns, no throttling, no fuss.

You can check your usage at any time on your accounts page, and you can sign up to RSS feeds so that you receive daily advice of actual and projected use.

:pat: ID won't shout at you, they're lovely people

Of course, switching packages is free, so if you are regularly using more than 3Gb (£3) of 'overs', you could always upgrade to the 5Gb package for the Winter, and downgrade again to PAYG for the time you won't be using it so much.  IDNet are good like that.  ;)

They certainly are. A few days ago I received a phone call from IDNet because my monthly bill hadn't been paid (false security hiccough by bank) and we ended up discussing whether a whisky would be good for my cold. ;D

Rik

I bet that was Simon. :)

She didn't give a name but said that she also had a cold, if that's a clue.

Rik

I haven't spoken to either recently, Noreen, so no clue there. :(

But isn't it great that you can have such a discussion with an ISP who hasn't been paid?

Rik

True enough - it's more like dealing with friends than a business.
