You had to wait 10 seconds - wow, that's bad. ;)

I had no connection on my second day with idnet.  It was late on at night so just shut down the pc. In the morning I still had no connection, went in and rebooted my router and all was fine again.

It could have been my router which is a first but since then I've had no problems.

It might have been the BT engineering work - that causes a short break in service, and can lead to a stale session, which the router reboot cures. Did you notice if your sync dropped?

No, Sync was fine.  My speeds have been just as good as zen, althought there is a decided drop during Saturaday afternoons and Sundays.

If sync didn't drop, it's almost certainly the BT work, Lona. As to speed, we're beginning to see sporadic issues, which seem to come down to how much equipment BT has free at exchanges. You may well have moved VP with the migration.

What's VP?  Is it some kind of disease

It often feels like it. :) Virtual path, the computer created maze which connects your physical line to the net.

Is that something like the "Virtual Dad" on that popular TV advert.  ;)
