What's all this (see attachment) about then?   :eyebrow:
And when I OK'd it up came orangebikes' website??
OK when I then picked up an earlier reference from the list and can't repeat it so presumably it is virtual 'crossed wires'

Dangerjunkie

Hi,

How are you connecting to the net? Wired, wireless? At home / somewhere else?

Which router do you have and have you secured it and changed the password? Which DNS service do you use? (please check in the router and windows net config). Have you scanned your machine for spyware recently?

Cheers,
Paul.

Rik

Hi Splat

Orangebikes are the company that we share the server with. I'll have a word with IDNet.

Update:

The most likely explanation for the security certificate is that you went to https://www.idnetters.co.uk. HTTPS can only have a single website with an ip address. As we don't have a secure certificate, using https means that you are given the secure website that is attached to the main ip - which is orangebikes.

And they do make very fine bikes!

Rik

Indeed they do, Simon, having browsed their site. Of course, I think that buying one could prove fatal for me in short order, but for a youngster like yourself...  ;D

Nope, same with skiing - the longer you're in the air, the faster you go.
Oh, and the harder you fall as well!
;D

lol hitting a tree is always fun...

The bikes should carry a health warning .........

oh that really is me

I had a nice Kona mountain bike 3 years ago. Sadly, 3 weeks after I paid £800 for it, I got hit by a car and it got squished (along with me. I'm still going to physio now). Now I've got a Kona Dr Dew hybrid, which is also nice :)

I used to do silly things like that and a lot worse (30 years ago) best one was jumping 5 of my "friends" which might not seem like a big deal but doing it while your rear wheel is on fire coz someone dowsed it in petrol and lit it prior to hitting the start ramp (well bit of wood attatched to an abandon car).

Bike helmets were not even made (i don't think), my bike had fixed gear-well it did after i welded it up as it saved having brakes yes i crashed regularly.

And yes this was all pre-nanny state cotton wool wrap up time.

oh those were the day's

Niall

I used to jump off buildings when I was a kid :D

They've turned that into physical art now. ;)

Wasn't it nice to have the time and energy to run merely because we could. :)

i thought u went faster when skiing with the skis pressing onto the slope, giving a reaction force that has a horizontal component of force that keeps your horizontal speed high. Whilst in the air you are slowing down horizontally, but speeding up vertically. Not sure the net effect, but i think downhill racers try to keep the jumps as low as possible, but maybe thats in order to take the next turn better
